Strong Tower Consulting: the flagship

Strong Tower Consulting, LLC is the founding company of the Strong Tower companies, established in Minnesota in 2008. It is an independent business and technology consulting firm for transportation and logistics companies: carriers, brokers, 3PLs, and private fleets.

The firm's work is organized into four practice groups: Strategy & Alignment, Process & Project Delivery, Data & Intelligence, and Infrastructure & Support. That covers everything from IT strategy and TMS selection to SQL data mining, go-live management, and day-to-day support. In short, we analyze your company through technology and streamline the business with years of freight experience.

Exspeedite: the sister software company

Exspeedite LLC is the sister software company, also founded in 2008. Exspeedite is a Strong Tower company. It builds transportation software for freight operators, and Scott Elliott, the founder of Strong Tower Consulting, is its founder and architect. Its products are:

• EXSPEEDITE TMS: the core transportation management system, covering dispatch, rating, billing, driver settlements, safety, IFTA, and maintenance.
• CheckPoint: outside-carrier visibility and app-less mobile GPS tracking, at exspeeditecheckpoint.com.
• Pipeline: customer and shipper tracking portals with load visibility, electronic invoices, and document imaging.

How the two companies relate

Strong Tower Consulting, LLC and Exspeedite LLC are separately organized companies under common ownership. Each has its own tax ID, and each is responsible only for its own obligations. They share a founder, a history that begins in 2008, and the same standard of integrity and service, but they operate as separate businesses.

We keep the companies separate on purpose. Consulting and software are different businesses with different responsibilities, and clients deserve clarity about who they are working with. When you engage Strong Tower Consulting, your agreement is with Strong Tower Consulting. When a carrier licenses software from Exspeedite, that agreement is with Exspeedite.

Why a consulting firm with a sister software company?

Because building software teaches you how freight systems really work, down to the database. The people behind Strong Tower have designed rating engines, settlement logic, EDI interfaces, and billing workflows, not just used them. That depth goes to work on your systems, whatever brand they are.

It also means we know what good software costs to build and maintain, what vendors can realistically deliver, and where implementations go wrong. That makes us a better advisor during a TMS selection, a stronger hand during an implementation, and a more honest voice when the right answer is to stay with the system you have.
