Biography
Scott Elliott is the Founder and President of Strong Tower Consulting, LLC, a freight transportation technology consulting firm he established in Minnesota in 2008. He leads the firm's advisory practice and works directly with clients on strategy, systems, and delivery.
Scott's background is in training and project management for transportation software. The firm's original team page described him as having been on the ground floor, training many trucking companies on how to become more profitable. That ground-floor perspective is the foundation of Strong Tower's approach: before recommending anything, understand how freight actually moves through the operation, from order entry and dispatch to billing and driver settlements.
Since founding the firm, Scott has led TMS conversions, version upgrades, database migrations, staff training, and on-site go-live weeks for carriers. Client letters describe him training staff remotely, traveling on site for go-live week, and serving as an adjunct project manager. Much of that work has been on Truckmate, including upgrades and go-lives, which is the experience behind our Legacy TMS Advisory & Migration and TMS Implementation & Go-Live practices.
Founder and architect of Exspeedite
Scott is also the founder and architect of Exspeedite, the sister software company founded in 2008. Exspeedite is a Strong Tower company that builds the EXSPEEDITE TMS, CheckPoint, and Pipeline. Building a transportation management system gives Scott an unusual view into how freight software works, down to the database.

Faith and the Strong Tower name
Scott named the company after Proverbs 18:10: "The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe." Strong Tower Consulting is a Christian company, and the name is a standard for how Scott wants the firm to serve clients: reliable when systems fail, honest about what a business needs, and committed for the long haul. Those commitments are spelled out in our mission and values.
